1. Go for a Walk

Not interested in hiking but like to go for a hot girl walk? Emu Mountain is for you! This 20-minute walk is suitable for everyone and starts at Coolum High School. Once at the summit, the views of both the ocean and the hinterland will take your breath away.

The Mount Coolum Boardwalk is a flat trail that takes you through native bushland and towards the ocean. However right as the boardwalk opens up to reveal the beach views make sure you turn around and take in the best view of Mount Coolum. 2. Hit up the Markets

The Sunshine Coast LOVES markets. We have it all, farmers' markets, artisan markets, and even markets for dog lovers… you get the picture we love a market. The famous Eumundi Markets are held every Wednesday and Saturday in the quaint country town of Eumundi, only 24 mins inland from Coolum.

3. Chill at the Beach

A relaxing day at the beach is as simple as taking a good book, bringing some snacks
and a beach umbrella. Now you are set for a peaceful day to unwind and chill out at the beach.

4. Learn a New Skill

Is one of your goals to learn a new hobby? Interested in learning to surf? Then why not take a surf lesson with Coolum Surf School. With group or private lessons available they will have you shredding the whitewash in no time. This is the perfect activity for a group of friends who are adventurous and keen to step outside their comfort zone.

Learn how to cook authentic award-winning Asian cuisine from one of the most famous restaurants on the Sunshine Coast. The restaurant is permanently booked out however the cooking lessons often have space available. Only 20 mins' drive from Coolum in the country town of Yandina is Spirit House. Their cooking lessons are phenomenal and you will go home learning a new skill as well.

5. Chase Waterfalls in the Hinterland

The best thing to do on a rainy or overcast day is to head to the mountains and explore the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Only 40 mins inland from Coolum, the hinterland is an entire region waiting to be explored. With fantastic hikes, waterfalls, cute shops, restaurants with breathtaking views and wineries there is so much to discover.

You can start the day without an acai bowl or delicious brunch. Right in the heart of Coolum and opposite the main beach Raw Energy has it all. With healthy juices on the menu as well there is something for everyone here.

For lunch, you cannot go past Heirloom Wholefoods. With the tastiest poke bowls on the menu and iced lattes to go this is a must-try when staying in Coolum.

Sunset drinks on the Coolum Surf Club balcony is an incredible place to watch the sunset over the beach while having a relaxing drink.

For the best spicy margaritas in town don’t forget to stop at Alley Cat. Cafe by day and live music hub in the evening. With vegan tacos and delicious cocktails, this hidden laneway gem is a real treat!
