The Yandina Five ‘O’ is the newest trail running event to hit the Sunshine Coast. This brand new 50km race winds through stunning trails outside of the town of Yandina in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
There are three distances to choose from including the 50km, 21km and 12km race. The course takes runners through the Mapleton National Park, through private land that no one has raced on before and across creeks. The terrain of this Sunshine Coast trail running event will take competitors past amazing lookout points and up and down challenging hilly terrain.
Yandina is located 20 mins inland from Coolum Beach and is home to the famous Ginger Factory. There is nothing better than a post-run swim so why not stay at The Point Coolum which overlooks the ocean. The villas are perfectly situated overlooking Coolum’s bays offering panoramic ocean views. The chosen event HQ for the Yandina 50 trail run is local craft brewery Terella Brewing. This incredible local brewery will be the host venue and is a perfect place for runners and their support crew to enjoy a beverage and hearty meal. There will be fun for the kids arranged at Terella Brewing so why not bring the whole family for a day out. The kids will love the petting farm that is located on-site and features goats, pigs, chickens, sheep, ducks and miniature horses. For the adults, Terella Brewing features 14 taps onsite with nine taps changing seasonally.
