Mount Coolum Hike

Markets
Do you love markets? Coolum has got you sorted! On the 2nd and 4th weekend of every month, two amazing markets pop up in Coolum. The Salty Saturday markets are located in Jack Morgan Park (next to the Coolum Bowls Club) and they operate from 2:30 pm to 8:30 pm. They feature market stalls, food trucks, live music and a licensed area. On Sunday morning the Sunshine Coast Collective market take over Coolum State School. Grab a coffee and breakfast while you check out the local handmade stalls. These markets operate from 8 am - 12 pm on Sunday mornings.
Skydiving
For adventurous couples skydiving over the beautiful Sunshine Coast is something to tick off your bucket list! The skydivers land at Stumers Creek which is at the northern end of Coolum’s main beach. If you aren’t willing to jump out of a plane then keep an eye out for the parachutes descending onto the beach. It is truly a beautiful sight.
Explore the secluded bays
Just two minutes walk from The Point Coolum you will find the irresistible Third Bay. This hidden gem will make you feel like you have your own private beach to yourself. There are three bays to explore and make sure you keep an eye out for turtles popping their heads as they love hanging out around the bays.
Watch the sunset over Mount Coolum
The picturesque boardwalk is an incredible backdrop for photographs with the spectacular view of Mount Coolum. The short boardwalk winds through native bushland and it is a perfect location to watch the sunset or to take amazing photos of Mount Coolum in all of its glory.
To find the boardwalk, put 8 Breezeway St, Mount Coolum into your navigation app. Once parked, walk towards the bushes and past the beach shower. Once on the boardwalk follow it towards the beach for about 5 minutes. Once you see the beach turn around and you will be treated to a delightful view.
Day trip to Yandina
Yandina is a quaint country town that is located 20 mins inland from Coolum. If you head there on Saturday morning you will be able to catch the Yandina Country farmers market. Terella Brewing is a fantastic local brewery featuring local food trucks and a petting zoo on site. Why not visit Wappa Falls for a quick dip and your way back to Coolum you can hike up Mount Ninderry which will give you beautiful views of the ocean and the hinterland.

The Caf has an all-day brunch menu and has ample outdoor seating. This local favourite has a changing menu of seasonal options and is known for their great coffee.
Beanhead
This hidden gem is tucked away within the complex on Birtwill St and Heathfield Rd. Due to its hidden nature, it is often easier to find a table here on a busy weekend morning. Delicious brunch, tasty coffee and fast service make Beanhead a local favourite in Coolum.

No trip to a beach town is complete without visiting the local surf club right? The Coolum Surf Club has an outdoor dining area that overlooks the main beach and they might just have the best dinner views in all of Coolum.
