Guide: The funnest girls trip itinerary in Coolum

Plan the best girls trip to Coolum

There’s nothing more fun than a well-deserved trip with your gal pals. We have compiled the best activities for you and your friends to do so that you make the most of your time in Coolum and leave feeling refreshed and relaxed.

Beach Days

There is nothing better than a day at the beach with your friends. Two minutes walk from The Point Coolum is the secluded Third Bay. Take your towels and a picnic and make the most of it by spending the day down by the water. Keep an eye out for turtles popping their heads up as they like to swim around the bays and are regularly spotted there. Once back at the hotel take advantage of the two pools on site.

Charcuterie board with a view

Pick up some local cheeses, cold meats and antipasto options from The Shop Coolum, located just across the road from Coolum’s main beach. Take them down to one of the many beautiful picnic spots and watch the sunset while enjoying a charcuterie board. The best views are from Point Arkwright, Point Perry, Tickle Park and Stumers Creek.

Hiking

If you enjoy getting your legs moving and going for a hike while you are here then we have options to suit all levels of fitness.

Mount Coolum

The famous Mount Coolum hike should already be on your bucket list if it’s isn’t already! This 208-metre climb is not for the faint-hearted and should only be attempted by fit walkers. Allow 1½ hours to complete the entire hike. You can read our complete guide to hiking Mount Coolum here.

Noosa National Park walk

Noosa is only 20 mins north of Coolum and the National Park walk is breathtakingly beautiful. This stunning walk takes you from Noosa Main Beach and winds along the coastline visiting secluded beaches. Make sure you look out for marine life such as dolphins, turtles and whales as they are often seen from the coastal walk.

Swim in a waterfall at the Sunshine Coast Hinterland

If you want to visit a waterfall why not head up to the Sunshine Coast hinterland and explore the town of Montville. The hinterland town is only 40 mins inland from Coolum and while you are there you can hike to Kondalilla Falls and enjoy a dip in the freshwater.

Snorkelling
