Best experiences in Coolum Beach

Live like a Sunshine Coast local

An easy-going, un-busy, non-complicated way of being. That’s the Coolum way of life.

Here you can take a surfing lesson or just kick back, relax and enjoy the beach. Go boutique shopping on David Low Way and sip a coffee at one of Coolum’s many cafes. In summer, check out the Coolum Twilight Markets, which offers everything from new and handmade clothing to local jewellery, arts and crafts. Blast Aqua Fun Park Coolum is an exciting aquatic play area with activities suitable for children as young as six.

If you’re an active, outdoorsy type and don’t mind an adventure with a terrific view, you can climb Mt. Coolum. It takes about 45 minutes to trek to the summit of this mountain, but once you get there, the views are simply breathtaking. There are 360-degree views of the Sunshine Coast that include everything from the ocean to rolling hills.

There’s plenty to do and see, if that’s your thing.  If doing nothing is more your style, then that’s cool too.

"From the moment we drove into Coolum and saw the coastline, to casting our eyes onto the Greek like structures of The Point Coolum we fell in love. The complex of holiday houses just worked. It was the cleanest complex I have ever been to. When we got to our accommodation we were blown away again. The views are impeccable". - Chris B, March 2022

"We loved our time at The Point once again, thank you. The reception staff are always warm and welcoming. We have stayed in several of the apartments now and each one is well equipped and always clean. If any maintenance issue arises, we always find the staff address the issue promptly and courteously. Even though the main part of Coolum is within walking distance, albiet a long one, we always feel we are enough away from the business strip to enjoy a quieter side of Coolum. I love the little secluded beach very close by, a piece of paradise. The views from all the apartments we have stayed in have been spectacular and each have generous balconies to sit and enjoy them. We would never consider staying elsewhere in Coolum". - Suzanne, June 2022

"Two pools to choose from, heated and unheated. Full apartment with full kitchen and laundry. Spacious living and bedrooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Protected parking. Fantastic outdoor dining area. Hill top has great breezes. Nice central location to base yourself for day trips to different parts of the Sunshine Coast. 1km to Coolum Beach. There is a safe walkway to Coolum Beach." - Alfio, Stayed in November 2022

"The view, the space, the fully equipped kitchen. We will definitely be back. I could not fault it". - Stevie, stayed in November 2022
